Finishing Kitchen Boards with a Mineral Oil Bath

This video demonstrates my process for treating all of our kitchen boards with mineral oil. We immerse them in the tub overnight so that the mineral oil soaks deep into the wood. When removed from the bath and placed on the drying rack they can sweat mineral oil for a day or more. Once they stop sweating we continue the finishing process by hand drying them once more with a clean towel then polishing them with our Board Butter (a combination of mineral oil, beeswax, and lemon essential oils).
